Maija Radziņa is Lead researcher at RSU and Head of the Radiology Research Laboratory with more than 20 years of experience in imaging. Radziņa is actively involved in clinical medicine – diagnostics of oncological, neurological, abdominal, vascular, skeletal, muscular and infectious pathologies at the Institute of Diagnostic Radiology of Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital, she leads and participates in scientific projects in Latvia and Europe, including the Horizon 2020 PRISMAP project in collaboration with CERN on the availability of innovative radionuclides in medicine. The scientific focus of Maija Radziņa is based on examination and implementation of innovative methods, including the application of artificial intelligence technologies in diagnostic imaging. The researcher has more than 70 scientific publications and she runs the study course “Artificial Intelligence in Imaging” at RSU. Lecturer and mentor in medical education both in Latvia and at international congresses and forums. Prof. Radziņa has held leading positions in Latvian and European radiology associations, representing Latvia in international expert networks and institutions.
