From 19 to 20 July Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Medicine Vice-Dean, Head of the Medical Education Technology Centre Ruta Jakušonoka and Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Skills and Medical Technologies Reinis Balmaks visited the medical simulation centre at Hannover Medical School (MHH).

Hannover Medical School was founded in 1965 and is one of the world’s leading university medical centres.

During the visit RSU representatives visited the MHH Simulation Centre (Simulatorium), the Clinical Skills Centre (Skills Lab), Air Medical Transportation and Emergency Care Simulation Centre (Christoph Life Emergency Training Centre), where representatives from both universities exchanged experience in the organisation of simulation-based learning, discussed the application of simulations in training and the possible cooperation between Rīga Stradiņš University and Hannover Medical School in studies and research.
