Continuing a decades-long tradition, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites freshmen to a Sports Day which will be held at Uzvaras Park on Thursday, 6 September from 11:00 to 17:00.

RSU graduate Kaspars Zlidnis and officer from the RSU International Department, former basketballer Dita Liepkalne will lead students in various sporting competitions - volleyball, basketball and football games as well as the 100 metre sprint, 1000 metre race and team relay race.

Events participants will have the opportunity to take part in sports activities such as the use of rowing ergometers, sumo, strength relay and a number of team relays on blow-up attractions. The event will be held both in Latvian and English, as befits a university which is a Baltic leader in education export.

To take part in the Sports Day you can register for individual as well as team sports and it is advisable to register your team beforehand (see below) as the number of teams that can take part is limited. Registration will begin on 27 August. Follow the latest information on the RSU Sports Club Facebook account and share this information with others!
