On Sunday, 15 May, a team of runners from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) with both students and staff members participated in the Rimi Riga Marathon. They represented the University in all races – the full marathon, the half-marathon, as well as the 10km and 6km races.

This year, 246 out of the 302 runners that signed up for the RSU team finished their race and ran a total of 3,737km.

As in previous years, the highest number of participants entered the 21km and 10km races, with 87 and 77 participants respectively. This year, 18 participants ran the full marathon, while 64 ran the 6km distance.

the RSU Sports Club coordinated the university’s team’s participation in the race.

The Rimi Riga Marathon took place on 14 and 15 May in Riga, gathering runners from more than 70 countries around the world. Participants ran both the marathon and the half-marathon, as well as 10km, 6km, the DPD Mile and the Kids' Day distance. It is one of the largest and most popular sports events in the Baltic States. The Rimi Riga Marathon annually gathers thousands of running enthusiasts, as well as international running stars.
