On Wednesday, January 24, eight teams visited the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) business incubator, B-Space, to present their business ideas at the IBSE Pitch Deck 2024 event. The jury – Romāns Putāns, Kristaps Zaļais, Henrijs Kaļķis, Edgars Lācis and Gatis Vītols – selected the best presentations.

Romāns Putāns, Head of the International Business and Start-up Entrepreneurship (IBSE) programme, has been cooperating with B-Space for the second year in a row to promote students' knowledge of creating and presenting their business ideas. According to B-Space Mentor Kristaps Zaļais, this cooperation helps students gain valuable practical experience, learning how to prepare and present a business plan presentation to a jury in order to secure funding for an idea.

Additionally, students can then continue their experience at the business incubator and develop their first prototype by joining the INK programme.

‘The IBSE Pitch Deck and INK collaboration programme is a great opportunity to assess the potential, develop, and refine of your idea. You could possibly even create your first business! During the programme, participants develop their pitching, presentation, and collaboration skills, as well as become more confident in their abilities, talents, and ideas. Each team has the opportunity to work with a mentor who provides invaluable insight with their knowledge and experience. RSU B-Space is an environment where like-minded young people support, encourage, and learn from each other. It's an experience you won't regret!’ says Karlīna Jance looking back on her experience and participation in the INK programme.
