‘We want women to leave the maternity hospital satisfied and to return there’ – this is the aim of an ambitious international study on the care of women and children by gynaecologist Elizabete Pumpure. She has just completed her residency studies at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and is a lecturer at the RSU Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as the leader of this research project. The IMAgiNE EURO1 study aims to evaluate and improve maternal and child care.

Out of 12 finalists, six secondary school pupils were selected at Rīga Stradiņs University (RSU) to represent Latvia at the European Olympiad of Experimental Science (EOES). On 22 April 2023 at 17:00 the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) folk dance ensemble Ačkups will give a performance in the RSU Great Hall. Ačkups will be joined by other dance ensembles like Austris, Gatve, and Vektors from Riga, Diždancis and Kalve from Jelgava, as well as Zīle from Ķekava.
Together, we will celebrate the colourful spring and welcome an eventful summer.
Due to the great interest from researchers and doctoral students, the scientific committee of the 5th World Congress of Latvian Scientists Research Latvia has extended the deadline for abstract submission until 16 April 2023. Participants are invited to submit their applications for poster presentations and participation in the Science Slam competition.
On 19 April 2023 at 16:00, Michael Harris, visiting professor in family medicine at RSU, will host an interactive seminar on Zoom called How to Write a Paper.
The target audience: doctors, residents, students and anyone who writes or reads scientific articles. 2.5 academic hours or 2.5 continuing education points will be awarded for attendance.
