The Healthy Boost Project Has Entered Its Final Phase

On 21 October this year, researchers from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Institute of Public Health who are participating in the Healthy Boost project met with Uldis Mitenbergs, Head of the World Health Organization's (WHO) Country Office Latvia, and with health promotion experts from the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

The biggest event of the year for the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Student Association (ISA) is the WorldWide/InfoFair. The event is a platform to showcase the various national, academic, social and sports groups under ISA. This was association's first event to take place in person after two years of remote studies. It was held on 8 October this year in Inspiration Park and adhered to all COVID-19 regulations in place at the time.

The online conference Impact of COVID-19 on Vaccination will take place on 25 November. Latvian speakers and professionals from the field will be participating, and the conference will include a keynote speech by George Kassianos (UK), General Practitioner, the National Immunisation Lead for the Royal College of General Practitioners, President of the British Global & Travel Health Association, Chairman of RAISE, the Pan-European Committee on Influenza.

Licensing experts will visit the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Health Care doctoral study programme on 11 October. The visit will include meetings with university management, heads of the study direction and study programmes, lecturers, students, and representatives from employers. The visit is an important stage in the study programme’s licensing process.

The new study programme will combine the successfully implemented Medicine, Pharmacy and Psychology study programmes.
