British Prof. Brian Godman Visits RSU Faculty of Pharmacy

Visiting lecturer Professor Brian Godman from the United Kingdom visited Rīga Stradiņš University’s (RSU) Faculty of Pharmacy on 7-8 January to meet with students and representatives from the Ministry of Health to discuss current issues in pharmacy.

Prof. Godman spoke to doctoral students about research planning, getting published in international journals, and factors that affect academic careers.

Prof. Godman has worked with the World Health Organization, various national and regional authorities in Europe, including those in charge of national drug compensation systems, as well as the academic sector to promote cooperation between various countries and sectors, carry out research and put forward proposals about fostering rational prescription and use of drugs. Prof. Godman has written over 270 publications, abstracts and conducted presentations on this topic since 2008.
