The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Institute of Public Health is one of the partners in the international project JADE Health (Joint Action addressing DEmentia and HEALTH), which aims to mitigate the burden of neurological disorders, including dementia, across Europe.
On 11 November 2025, Daiga Mieriņa, Speaker of the Saeima, will visit the RSU Medical Education Technology Centre (METC). During her visit, she will not only meet with RSU management, but also with the rectors of the Latvian University Association and other state universities to discuss current issues in higher education and research.
A tour of the METC is also planned, where participants will learn about both the simulation equipment and military medical training opportunities.
On Wednesday, 15 October, Gudrun Masloch, Ambassador of Germany to Latvia, and Beate Kirch, Head of Legal and Consular Department at the Embassy of Germany, visited the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education Technology Centre (METC).
During the visit, the ambassador met with RSU management and students and explored the University’s modern study facilities and simulation technologies, which allow students to acquire practical skills in a realistic environment.
