RSU History Museum opens new exhibition on the historical turn of our University

An exhibition created by the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) History Museum will be on display in the glass cases by the RSU Great Hall at 16 Dzirciema iela from March 27 to July 19 - HISTORIC TURN; How the First World Congress of Latvian Physicians (1989) influenced the development of RSU.

In the second half of the 1980s, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia were at the beginning of the Singing Revolution – an effort to regain independence from Soviet occupation. In Latvia, it was also called the Third Awakening.

RSU invites seniors to apply for project in third Baltic Age is not an Obstacle series

The third project in the Age is not an Obstacle series, funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers' education and research mobility programme NordPlus, is being implemented by SIA Remilia in cooperation with Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), the Estonian Pensioners’ Union, and the Lithuanian Union of Pensioners Bočiai. The project aims to improve Baltic seniors’ quality of life by upgrading their knowledge and skills.

As part of Latvian Library Week (22-25 April), the RSU Library will host guests from the University of New Mexico, US, with guest lectures by Prof. Melissa L. Rethlefsen, Executive Director of the Health Sciences Library & Informatics Center, and Danielle E. Maurici-Pollock, Research Data Specialist at the Health Sciences Library & Informatics Center.

Oksana Savicka will defend her doctoral dissertation on 9 May at 15.00 in an open meeting of the RSU Health Sciences doctoral committee at the Hippocrates lecture-theatre. Her dissertation is titled 'Molecular Epidemiological Characterisation of Hepatitis A Virus in Latvia'.

RSU sākta jauna ārvalstu studentu vēstnešu stipendiju programma; izvēlēti seši stipendiāti

Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has launched a new International Student Ambassadors Scholarship Programme to promote the University globally and to enhance the reputation of its medicine and dentistry study programmes. Earlier this year, six scholarship recipients were selected among almost 40 applicants - Jerzen Benny Malayaatil, Hussaina Musaji, Muskan-e Muhemmed, Andreas James McGregor, Karlijn Johanna Linda Henricus Op de Laak, and Marelize Vermeulen.
