International student Reinaert Jozef Maurice Demey, recently graduated with a master’s degree from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in the International Relations and Diplomacy programme. He is the recipient of the RSU Master’s Student of the Year 2025 award.
On 29 June this year, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) hosted a major event in the field of dentistry – the conference ‘Fluorides and Antibiotics. Balance in Prevention and Treatment’. The event brought together internationally recognised experts and distinguished visiting professors Jaime Cury, Cínthia Tabchoury and Pedro Ricomini, as well as Aigars Reinis, Asst. Prof. at the RSU Department of Biology and Microbiology.

On 29 June, a memorandum of cooperation on the implementation and promotion of the principles of good governance in Latvia’s sports sector was signed at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU). The memorandum brings together representatives from the government, local municipalities, sports organisations, the private sector, and academia towards a shared goal to strengthen transparent, accountable, and sustainable sports governance in Latvia.
Researchers from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) presented new findings on sustainability governance in Latvian hospitals at the international scientific conference Environmental Science, Sustainability & Global Innovation (EnviWorld 2026), held in Barcelona from 18 to 20 June 2026. The conference brought together researchers from Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, India and many other countries to discuss the latest developments in environmental science, sustainability and innovation.
Last month, the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings were published, with Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) demonstrating significant progress. Maintaining its position in the 301–400 band globally, RSU now shares first place among Baltic universities and has returned to the global top 50 in the Health and Wellbeing category.
On Monday, 31 August at 14:00, the opening ceremony of the 2026/2027 academic year will take place in the courtyard of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) main building at 16 Dzirciema iela.
The next meeting of the RSU Council will take place on 16 December 2026.
