The iNOVUSS Innovation Festival took place this year from 30 August to 1 September on Lucavsala Island in Riga. There was something there for everyone: interactive demonstrations of healthy diets for children, virtual reality for young adults, and current and emerging innovators and researchers could get information and inspiration for future projects at the festival. Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) participated in the festival for the first time, along with six other Latvian universities.
In order to develop simulation-based medical education and to foster international cooperation, the Doctors Safe Train foundation and the simulation-based Education Council are organising Experience Exchange Meeting from 19 to 20 September 2019, gathering experts in the field from Germany and Latvia.
The Rīga Stradiņš University Museum was founded on 4 September 2001. In 2013 the premises on 26A Anniņmuižas Bulvāris which house the collections were opened, and a permanent exhibition was created at 16 Dzirciema Iela. This exhibition’s concept was partially designed by artist Anna Heinrihsone and historian Valters Ščerbinskis. Up until then, the museum existed in suitcases and boxes.
The annual fair Riga Food 2019 was held from 4 to 7 September. Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) also participated this year with a booth in the Food Innovations section.
