Lecturers and students from the Department of Physics are invited to a guest lecture at 9:45 on 6 September by visiting Erasmus guest lecturers from Sanko University. The lecture will be about research projects in biophysics and molecular biology.
2548 new students have started their studies at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) this academic year. They include 331 international students from 31 countries, most from Germany and Scandinavia. All 760 state-funded study places allocated to RSU were filled by the middle of the summer.
Last year’s concert Teic, kur zeme tā, which was held in the Great Hall of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), was celebrated with a standing ovation. This autumn, all fans of film music will have the opportunity to enjoy the concert once again on the stage of the Great Hall.

On August 29, the President of Latvia Egils Levits met with Professor Aigars Pētersons, the Rector of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and Chair of the Board of the Association of Latvian Universities, in Riga Castle.
The innovation festival iNOVUSS will start on Friday 30 August this year. Over three days the festival will bring together everyone from experts on technological creativity and innovative entrepreneurship, to curious families with children. The Bank of Ideas tent will act as a warm-up to the new academic year.
