The Faculty of Rehabilitation at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) was established in 1994 back when the university was still called the Medical Academy of Latvia.

Aspiring physiotherapists were the first to start their studies at the newly established faculty. Over the past 25 years, over 2 000 functional specialists have graduated from RSU, among them audiologists and speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, technical orthopaedists, nutrition specialists, art therapists, as well as such rehabilitation professionals as rehabilitation physicians, social workers, health psychologists and others.

In celebration of the anniversary, the RSU Alumni Association invites all alumni of the Faculty of Rehabilitation to a reunion at the Alumni Evening on 20 September.Sign up for the alumni eveningMeet your former classmates and lecturers, share your memories and enjoy the festive atmosphere at the reunion.

Alongside this event, RSU will host the first Latvian National Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine on 19 – 20 September 2019. It will gather a wide network of experts to reflect the multidisciplinarity of the field.
