Who we are

The Association of Norwegian Students Abroad (ANSA) is a non-profit independent organisation voicing the interests of Norwegian students studying abroad.

As a result of the initiative of Norwegian students at RSU, the Latvian branch of the Association, ANSA Latvia, was formed in April 2011. ANSA Latvia is there to provide assistance to Norwegian students, and it also organises various activities in support of the students’ social, cultural, economic and other interests. The events are usually open both for both members and non-members.

Our primary aims

Our aim is to maintain and promote the educational, cultural, political and economic interests of Norwegian students abroad.

What we do

During the year we arrange different types of events. We have an event in the beginning of each semester, and we also arrange a Christmas party, quizzes, a medical conference, we celebrate the 17th of May (the Norwegian National Day), and we arrange other small events like medical workshops, paintball or bowling. We have our annual meeting in March or April each year.
