Investor Network: Accelerating early-stage equity funding for promising healthcare start-ups
Raising funds is a lengthy and complex process for start-ups, especially those looking to launch in multiple markets across Europe. At the EIT Health Investor Network, we can help you to navigate that process.
The EIT Health Investor Network connects qualified companies seeking early-stage funding with the first pan-European consortium of more than 80 healthcare investors across 17 countries. We accelerate equity rounds by highlighting and connecting early-stage start-ups with targeted private and institutional healthcare investors across Europe.
Investors in our network share the ambition to accelerate start-ups and bring the most innovative ideas to health markets faster. We connect you to venture capitalists, corporate venture funds, family offices, angel networks, and super angels seeking to invest in seed, bridge, or Series A deals, up to €10 million. In the last year and a half alone, we’ve closed €18 million in deals with five companies.

How it works
After a detailed evaluation of your project, you will receive recommendations for next steps. We will introduce your project to the network and to specific investors looking for start-ups like yours, while providing you with insights and access to the services you need. For top-tier start-ups, we will connect you with active early-stage private and institutional healthcare investors in Europe.
Who should apply
Start-ups that are:
- registered in any Horizon Europe country
- seeking between €500,000 and €10 million for seed, bridge, or Series A round funding
- already receiving public grants or other funding at a significant level
- delivering transformative products and services in Biotech, Medtech, and Digital Health
Key details
Application is open – apply any time. You can apply for Crowdfunding and express interest in the Venture Centre of Excellence at the same time on the same application, but you can only participate in one programme.
Cost of application is €1,000. You will get a detailed review of your application, a written one-page review, and a call with two hand-picked healthcare investors. You can re-apply for free within the year.
