For the first time, from 23 – 25 April, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will host a scientific and practical conference "Contemporary Sports Psychology: Research, Innovation and Professional Practice", bringing together psychologists, researchers, coaches, athletes, students, and other industry professionals.

On 1 April, a practical seminar titled Research Breakfast: From Lab to Value took place at Rīga Stradiņš University, aiming to strengthen researchers’ ability to transform their scientific results into clear, structured, and compelling value propositions.
In festive spirt before the holidays, the Chapter of Orders has decided to award Latvia’s highest state decorations to outstanding figures from various fields. Our long-standing colleague, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Prof. Dr. med. Juta Kroiča, Head of the Department of Biology and Microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine, has been appointed a Bearer of the Order of the Three Stars.
By decision of the Senate of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LAS) on 10 March, this year’s LAS Grand Medal has been awarded to Prof. Jānis Gardovskis, Chair of the RSU Senate, Head of the Department of Surgery, and Member of the Convent of Councillors. He has received this high honour for his outstanding contribution to medical science in Latvia and the development of RSU.
