On Monday, 5 January, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Council convened for an extraordinary meeting to elect the Chair of the Council. The position became vacant as the previous chair, Reinis Bērziņš, was appointed as a member of the Council of VSIA Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital.
On 15 January 2026, an appreciation ceremony will be held at 14:00 in the RSU Senate Hall to thank the most active participants and cooperation partners of Jēkabs Prīmanis' anthropological research project on the inhabitants of Latvia.
The project was implemented by a team of RSU researchers and students led by Professor Jānis Vētra from the RSU Institute of Anatomy and Anthropology.
