The traditional staff Christmas event will take place at 15.00 on 18 December in the University's main building.
This year, traditional Psychology Days will take place at RSU from 7 till 10 October in a hybrid format (on-site / on-line). The centerpiece of this year's event is the interdisciplinary scientific conference 'Psychology for Health and Social Development.'

Last week, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) welcomed 429 new international students from 43 countries who will be studying Medicine, Dentistry and Social Sciences, alongside 44 Erasmus+ exchange students. To help them adapt to their new academic and cultural environment, the RSU International Department organised Welcome Week from 26 to 30 August.
On 3-5 September, philosophers, researchers and practitioners from 30 countries will gather in Riga to discuss how technology is transforming people's experiences, perceptions of the world and interpersonal relationships. Researchers Māra Grīnfelde and Uldis Vēgners from the Social Sciences Research Center at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), in collaboration with the University of Latvia, are organising the 10th Central and East European Society for Phenomenology (CEESP) conference Phenomenology and Technology.
From 25 to 29 August, data manager Dr Bojan Kverh from the University of Ljubljana visited Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) as part of Erasmus+ exchange to share his experience and learn about RSU’s approach to research data management.
The Rīga Stradiņs University (RSU) business incubator B-Space is opening applications for its pre-incubation (PINK) programme. In the programme, participants will learn idea generation techniques, tackle industry challenges and work in teams to create and develop their very first business idea.
‘For us, it is important to help as many patients as we can, and to do so to the highest possible standard,’ says Gundars Katlaps, cardiothoracic surgeon at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) in Florida, USA. He is Head of the Aortic Surgery Programme and Director of the Lung Transplantation Programme at the TGH Transplant Institute.

Back on 1 September 1950, students began their studies at the Rīga Medical Institute (RMI), the original name of Rīga Stradiņš University, in three faculties: Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.
On 28 August, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and the University of Dundee in Scotland signed a memorandum of cooperation at the RSU Anatomy Museum, aimed at advancing modern higher education and introducing innovation into both studies and research.
