On Friday, 19 December, the Rīga Stradiņš University Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) traditional dancesport competition will take place in the Great Hall where the Academy’s 4th year students will be competing.

A historic moment for sports at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) – both RSU volleyball teams have reached the Latvian Cup final. We invite the RSU community to come and support our players this Saturday, 13 December , at the Rimi Olympic Center in Riga (6b Grostonas iela).
At the end of November, the VitaEase student team from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) represented Latvia in the European final of the Innovation Days (i-Days), organised by the European Innovation and Technology Institute (EIT). The Latvian team achieved the highest result for the country so far, securing second place among 23 teams.
Aneka Kļaviņa will defend her doctoral dissertation on 22 January in an open meeting of the Basic Sciences of Medicine doctoral committee.
The Erasmus+ programme supports projects in education, professional development, innovation, and international cooperation, providing opportunities for universities, researchers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to implement initiatives of international scope.
Various RSU structural units already participate successfully in Erasmus+ projects both as project coordinators and as valued partners. The European Commission has announced a new call for proposals for spring 2026.

During the event, representatives from the Foreign Ministries of Denmark and Latvia will share their experience and perspectives on the priorities of both countries in the UN Security Council, as well as on the cooperation that will begin on 1 January 2026, when both states will be serving as Council members.

The second round of Morning Talks this year, by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s health-focused Knowledge and Innovation Community (EIT Health) took place at the end of November.
