From 27 to 29 April, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will host the 6th International Scientific Conference ‘Health and Personality Development: an Interdisciplinary Approach’. A pre-conference workshop will take place on 26 April. The conference is organised by the Department of Health Psychology and Paedagogy of the RSU Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare.
On 20 February the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Department organised a "speed friending" event together with the RSU International Students’ Association (ISA) and the Student Union for local and international students.

Students, school pupils, the university's employees and anyone interested are invited to attend a guest lecture by Professor Dr Thomas F. Schaller. The lecture is taking place as part of a series of guest lectures on the upcoming US presidential election that began in autumn 2019. The professor will report on the current activities of the presidential campaign and the most likely scenarios.
Since 2019 the Institute of Public Health at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has been involved in COST ACTION 18124 of the European Sexual Medicine Network. One of the four working groups studied information published in scientific journals and the existing practices of the 32 countries represented in this project. The results confirm existing gaps in knowledge and skills regarding sexual health.
By the time you will be reading this, Andrea Christina Schneider and Ronja Emely Friede will already be back in western Germany studying Medical Physics at their home university – Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU). Their semester-long Erasmus visit paved a new path at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) since they were the first exchange students in the field of medical physics. This is great news for interdisciplinarity!
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Department of Orthopaedics has a long-standing and successful cooperation with the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine at Bar-Ilan University. Igors Pikaļevs, a residency student in traumatology and orthopaedics at RSU, chose to ungergo his two-month traineeship at the Ziv Medical Center Clinic of Orthopaedics under the supervision of the Head of the clinic, Professor Alexander Lerner, within the framework of Erasmus+ KA107 programme.
Anna Jete Gauja is a third-year student from the Medicine study programme at the Faculty of Medicine. She assumed her duties as Chair of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (SU) on 1 January 2020 and has been a part of the SU team for two years already. In the summer following her first year of studies she became an activist for the union by taking part in organising the ZGI seminar for first year students. After this experience she became more involved and in the spring semester during her second year, she was elected as a Head of Social Matters.
