The African Association in Riga

The African Association in Riga (AAR) is a group established for people of African descent and the African diaspora.

The groups is a platform for minorities in Riga, a safe haven for discussion, networking, and support. We provide emotional support for students who have newly arrived, and invite everyone with open arms to our society. We arrange events that allow us to come together and share our history, knowledge, and experiences. These events have included potlucks at which we share different cultural foods from various parts of Africa, discussions of serious and important topics, and events where we get together to have fun, interact, and widen our network.
