Preliminary Knowledge:
Anatomy, biology.
Objective:
To provide general knowledge about malignant tumours, epidemiology, statistics, complaints and symptoms, early diagnosis and screening, and principles of therapy.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
To prepare a presentation on topics assigned by the lecturer, individual work with literature. Each student makes a presentation on the assigned topic. Gathers information about the disease, medicines, use thereof, course of the patient’s disease, the patient’s course of life, interprets and justifies the various differential diagnostic possibilities. A written exam at the end of the course to check students’ knowledge on epidemiology of tumours, diagnostics and treatment possibilities.
Assessment Criteria:
Percentage of correct answers to multiple-choice questions.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Will understand and be able to explain terms related to tumour epidemiology, biology and statistics. Will know the main groups of medicines in oncology.
Skills:Will be able to assess obvious symptoms in patients with skin tumours on exposed parts of the body. Will understand screening and the importance of reminders.
Competencies:Will be able to apply the obtained knowledge of tumour diagnosis, screening and the main groups of medicines.
