Assessment
Unaided Work:
Work with sources of information, their selection, simulation, work with literature, including internet resources, which results in knowledge of practical significance and application in patient monitoring, establishing diagnosis and its justification, analysis of specific treatment for a given clinical situation. A presentation of 5-7 minutes is prepared for each practical lesson. (slides 5-7) for discussion.
Assessment Criteria:
At the end of the course, when assessing the student's knowledge, the student's preparedness for the class, activity in it, ability to participate reasonably in discussions in each class are also considered; accuracy through the use of terminology used for examination, methodologies, indications and contraindications, with awareness assessment and the ability to find new diagnostic and treatment approaches and to predict their future potential in gastroenterology. Each presentation is evaluated by colleagues and the lecturer with a grade. At the end of the course – cumulative exam, taking into account the results of classes.
Final Examination (Full-Time):Exam (Written)

Will know the best ways to investigate and treat in various clinical situations.
Skills:Using the examination data, students will be able to formulate indications, evaluate contraindications and limitations of current and future methods for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, and use standard techniques to select the most effective diagnostic and therapeutic route with maximum economic benefit in a given clinical situation.
Competencies:Students plan their cognitive process independently to balance the existing knowledge obtained in the compulsory course with the new material in standard situations in gastroenterology; capable of focusing on the benefit/risk assessment, acting alone and within the group; able to use literature, e-environment and knowledge of colleagues and lecturers; take responsibility for presenting the work of the student group (team work).
