Preliminary Knowledge: | Knowledge and skills acquired during the studies. | ||||||||
Objective: | Within the framework of elaboration of the Master’s thesis, students acquire skills to work independently with legal literature, legal norms, practice of courts and other institutions, develop skills of scientific research work, and strengthen their abilities to present and discuss the particular topic, and defend their conclusions and proposals. The basic objective is to strengthen the theoretical and practical knowledge required by the speciality of law. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | According to RSU final thesis requirements. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | The Master’s thesis has been successfully presented at the meeting of the State Final Examination Commission, taking into account the procedure and rules included in the legal acts of the Faculty of Law, and the criteria for the assessment thereof. Successful assessment of Master’s thesis ranges from 4 to 10 points. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | To strengthen knowledge of scientific research methods and their possible applications. To identify legal issues in the chosen field and seek a sound solution. To deepen the understanding of current issues in legal science and practice in the chosen field. | ||||||||
Skills: | To use and analyse various types of sources (including databases). To analyse theoretical and practical conclusions gradually, to substantiate one’s opinion. To present one’s research, justify its significance, relevance, and applicability. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Ability to independently formulate and critically analyse theoretical and practical problems of a legal nature related to the elaboration of Master’s thesis. Demonstrating one’s ability to substantiate one’s conclusions and to make specific proposals for solving identified problems and improving the legal framework. | ||||||||
