Preliminary Knowledge:
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for the service in the State Police and the fulfilment of the tasks prescribed for the placement.
Objective:
The aim of the placement is to acquire and improve theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills required for the service in the State Police. Tasks: 1. Use theoretical knowledge acquired during studies in the placement; 2. Be able to obtain, select and process the information necessary for the qualification obtained and the service in the State Police; 3. Acquire and improve practical skills required for the service in the State Police.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Work with normative acts and sources of literature, databases, etc.; obtaining, selecting and assessing the information. Independently performed duties assigned by the placement supervisor within the framework of placement tasks and assignments.
Assessment Criteria:
The quality of the placement logbook and the procedural documents specified in the placement tasks. Fulfilment of the placement tasks and assignments.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Able to demonstrate basic and specialised knowledge characteristic of the Senior Officer (Senior Specialist in the Police Work) of the State Police and critical understanding of this knowledge for the accomplishment of the specified placement assignments.
Skills:Able to take decisions and find creative solutions under changing or suspicious circumstances, in high-stress and complicated service situations, by acting reasonably and correspondingly in highly dangerous situations. Able to take responsibility and initiative in carrying out work individually or in a team in high stress and complicated service situations, and taking responsibility for the decisions made. Able to use the acquired theoretical foundations and skills to formulate and analytically describe the information, problems and solutions in the profession of a Senior Officer (Senior Specialist in Police Work) at the State Police. To explain them and reasonably discuss the issues. Able to predict the development of the situation, to choose the most effective and the most appropriate method to achieve the best solution. Able to use the acquired theoretical foundations and skills to carry out professional work in the police, identifying, studying and analysing the problem situation and offering possible solutions to the problem situation.
Competencies:Able to evaluate the impact of their professional activity on the environment and the public in confrontation with the subject, in solving conflicts and using various methods of the use of force: psychological influence, use of physical force, use of special devices, use of a firearm, use of special tactics and methodology. Able to demonstrate that they understand professional ethics in working with colleagues and the society. Able to independently obtain, select and analyse information and use it in the police work, able to make critical evaluation and verification of the obtained information. Able to participate in the development of the relevant professional field by carrying out a detailed study of an existing problem in the police work.
