Preliminary Knowledge:
Basic psychology, communication.
Objective:
Promote the learning of pedagogical foundations by developing an understanding of the use of pedagogical knowledge in everyday practice with patients in the context of the health care system.

Unaided Work:
Work with literature. Analysis of a scientific article (1), independent work (1) in assessing and educating patients. In the framework of the course, prepare a presentation on a scientific article and a pedagogical topic.
Assessment Criteria:
Analysis of the scientific article (1): topicality, methods: 25%, Independent work (1) in assessing patient’s problems and educating the patient: assessment, situation perspective: 25%, Examination: 50% Criteria for the examination paper: Situation analysis - assessment of the situation, influencing factors, non-influencing factors, methods and tools.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students are able to formulate the essence of pedagogy, teaching methods, their forms and characteristics, to explain the organisation of the study process, the factors influencing the educational process in different age groups, to describe the possibilities of applying pedagogy in the profession of massage therapist.
Skills:Within the framework of the course, students acquire the skills to integrate the planning of educational situations, the organisation and management of the educational process and the evaluation of educational outcomes into their professional activity.
Competencies:Students are competent in planning, organising, managing, implementing and evaluating the patient education process.
