Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Upon completing the study course, the student is able to name life-threatening, acute situations, diseases, list their symptoms and syndromes, outline the aetiology and pathogenesis, explain possible complications, describe the basic principles of treatment according to age specifics and necessary manipulations.
Skills:As a result of completing the study course, the student knows how to recognise life-threatening, acute situations, diseases and syndromes, choose the most appropriate treatment methods. Able to perform CPR measures according to age specifics, apply algorithms and evaluate their effectiveness, predict possible complications. Able to assess the patient’s physical condition and perform necessary IT and resuscitation manipulations (defibrillation, artificial cardiac pacemaker, SKV, tracheal intubation, conicotomy).
Competencies:As a result of completing the course, the student is able to determine the dynamics of changes in the state of health in life-threatening situations and provide assistance according to algorithms and established guidelines.
