Preliminary Knowledge:
In the 1st study year anatomy course acquired according to the programme.
Objective:
To promote knowledge acquisition of structure, topography and functions of the organs in the systemic human anatomy and to extend theoretical knowledge of dissection.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Individual preparation of readings, papers, reports, exercises etc. to be presented or submitted in theoretical lectures and practical classes; work with literature, anatomy web resources, etc. and work done on the RSU e-studies.
Assessment Criteria:
The attendance and participation in the lectures and classes; work with study materials and literature; oral, written and practical assessment of the knowledge in the classes; work in groups and presentations of the works between groups; colloquiums (successfully completed); an application of preparation technique and correct preparation of material. The exam at the end of the 3rd semester.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students will be able to: • estimate the role of the human body in the classification system of organisms, the principles of composition; • describe the organ systems of the human body, their topography, functions, relationships, blood supply and innervation; • define basic anatomical concepts and terminology in Latin; • demonstrate understanding of the main concepts and regularities.
Skills:Students will be able to: • explain and show the skeleton bones and their structures, joints, muscles, main blood vessels and nerves, internal organs, their parts, sensory organs on study aids, using appropriate anatomical concepts and terminology in Latin; • obtain, assess, classify and compare the information from different sources of information; • ask specific questions, to look for answers related to anatomical issues and to express their point of view; • work independently or in a team; • enter into a dialogue and participate in discussions; • use dissection equipment and apply appropriate techniques; • prepare material for dissection; • identify the dissected anatomic structures; • distinguish the location of the classic structures from norm variants; • interpret and explain the results, define conclusions and present the results (written, oral).
Competencies:The students will know, identify and describe different anatomical structures of the human body relative to systems, location and planes of the body; demonstrate an understanding of the basic anatomical terminology and primary functions of the major systems of the human body.
