Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Knowledge and skills acquired to obtain a physiotherapist qualification and a bachelor's degree in health care. Knowledge and skills acquired within the 1st study year of the master's study programme.
Objective:
To develop skills of analysis of complex and innovative research problems and implementation of research in the field of physiotherapy.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Systematic search, selection and critical reading of the latest scientific publications. Development of tasks in small groups. Oral and written discussion. Preparation of the interim reports.
Assessment Criteria:
In order to successfully complete the study course, it is necessary to complete all tasks within the set time limits (actual information is available in e-studies) and actively participate in all classes. The evaluation of the final examination (exam) of the study course consists of the cumulative evaluation from evaluations of the interm-reports (4), where each make 25%. Each interm-report is assessed in accordance with the RSU study regulations (0-10) (at least 4 points must be obtained for each interim report). The requirements, due date and evaluation criteria for each interm-report are available in e-studies.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Describes recent research problems in physiotherapy research. Describes novitar, complex research designs in the physiotherapy field.
Skills:Critically analyzes various research problems, its toppicality and context. Compares different research designs based on their advantages and disadvantages. Critically analyzes the latest research designs in physiotherapy research. Arguments and discusses current issues in the field of physiotherapy research. The skills acquired in group work are transferred to independent work and with their individual work strengthen the efficiency of group work.
Competencies:Evaluates and solves complex research problems in the field of physiotherapy.
