Preliminary Knowledge:

Objective:
Acquire knowledge about speech sound disorders: cause and symptoms (Articulation disorders; Phonological disorders; Dysarthria, Apraxia). Be able to asses sound pronunciation and treat speech sound disorders.

3rd semester: • group presentation on therapy; • self-assessment tests during the study course; • assessment – test. 4th semester: Final evaluation: Defense of the course work, includes cumulative evaluation. • attendance 10%; self-assessment tests 30%; term paper, evaluation report 40%; group work, presentation of a scientific article 20%.

Knowledge:• describe articulation and phonological disorders; • recommend articulation and phonological disorders treatment ; • describe speech sound disorders in children and adults; • know speech sound disorders etiology, clinical symptoms; • report speech sound disorders treatment and therapy.
Skills:• examine articulation and phonological skill; • analyse sound errors and phonological processes; • develop a treatment plan of Speech Sound Disorders.
