Preliminary Knowledge: | Knowledge of the basics of economics, microeconomics and macroeconomics is required. | ||||||||
Objective: | To develop understanding and improve knowledge of the basic concepts of management theory, evolution and development of the concept of organisation. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Independent preparation for participation in lectures and seminars, individual work – a report – students prepare a report using additional literature. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Accumulated grade and exam: • attendance of lectures and seminars (40%); • activity and quality of answers in seminars (20%); • analysis of summaries (20%); • exam-presentation (20%). | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | On successful completion of the study course, students will be able to describe the implementation of management functions in the organisation, describe the process of communication and decision-making, explain the role of the manager in ensuring the organisation management. | ||||||||
Skills: | On successful completion of the study course, students will be able to evaluate the situation in the organisation, analysing the implementation of management functions, to substantiate their opinion on the directions of improvement of the management process. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Students are able to analyse the motivation and coordination system and the manager’s activities in managing the organisation. | ||||||||
