Preliminary Knowledge: | General Psychology, Statistics. | ||||||||
Objective: | To provide students with an opportunity to acquire knowledge about the theoretical concepts of psychometrics, types of psychological tools, standard requirements for the development and adaptation of psychological tools, specifics and conditions of using thereof. To provide students with an opportunity to acquire knowledge of the classical test theory. | ||||||||

Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | To independently consolidate the lecture material by reading the indicated sources and study literature systematically to prepare for the test. To carry out an analysis of one scientific article on the development of a psychological measurement instrument and to pass a test on it (successfully completed test). Write a report on the self-developed test. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | • Attendance of lectures and practical classes (at least 70%) (makes up 5% of the grade). • Successfully passed the test on the results of the analysis of the article (makes up 15% of the grade). • Successfully written and submitted on time report on test development (makes up 50% of the grade). • Successfully passed exam (test) (30% of the grade). | ||||||||

Knowledge: | Defines and explains the types of psychological tools; explains the principles of test quality assessment, basic principles of test design and adaptation. | ||||||||
Skills: | Discusses the types of psychological tools, construction and adaptation of tests with arguments; critically evaluates the quality of tests based on their psychometric indicators; is able to independently analyse test articles (statement/question), test reliability and validity. | ||||||||
