Preliminary Knowledge:
Successfully completed study courses.
Objective:
The aim of the study course is that the student performs research in the chosen health science or medical science related to nutrition problems, the results of which confirm successful bachelor's study program and ability to work creatively in this field, language and usable in science and practice. The structure of the Bachelor's thesis is determined by the topic and type of the thesis (eg. theoretical or experimental study).

Assessment
Unaided Work:
1. The student must develop a development organization (as required by RSU). 2. Independent work and individual consultations with the scientific supervisor. 3. Defense of bachelor's thesis and scientific discussion on research topic.
Assessment Criteria:
The overall assessment consists of an evaluation of the written bachelor thesis submitted by the reviewer and a presentation of the bachelor thesis, presented at the Bachelor Thesis Evaluation Committee.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Basic knowledge of research work development.
Skills:Upon successful completion of this course students will develop their skills in conducting independent research and be able to demonstrate: 1. Understanding the organization of research; 2. Skills in independent research in nutrition science, which include choosing and substantiating the research topic, setting goals and objectives, formulating the research question, choosing the research data acquisition and analysis method, finding scientific literature, writing and presenting the research, research presentation and discussion skills.
Competencies:Understanding of research work development; Improvement of presentation and teaching skills; Ability to analyze and present the research results independently; Understanding current research in health science and nutrition science; Bachelor's thesis planning; Principles of preparation of research project application; Teamwork and individual working skills; Skills to communicate with the public about research.
