Preliminary Knowledge:
Personality psychology, Developmental psychology, Clinical psychology.
Objective:
Provide an overview of the terminology of pathopsychology, its directions and to promote students' understanding of the disease as a process, changes in mental processes in case of an illness.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Preparing in advance and active participation in seminars, group work, case studies (according to a certain plan), preparing a presentation.
Assessment Criteria:
1) active participation in seminars (10%). 2) case analysis (according to a certain plan) work in groups, presentation 5-7 min., prepare 2 questions for group discussion (40%). 3) examination (10 questions) (50%).

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students classify mental development disorders, their symptoms, manifestations and describe the process of their formation in the context of the biopsychosocial model. Students describe the methodology and research methods for evaluating mental development disorders and the ethical aspects of working with people with mental disabilities.
Skills:Students apply knowledge to formulate the pathopsychology of human cognitive and affective processes. Students define the boundaries of a psychologist's professional work in a multidisciplinary team with people with mental disabilities.
Competencies:Students use the acquired knowledge of mental development disorders in order to choose a research method for evaluation according to the specifics of the disorder. Independently describe the limits of a psychologist's competence in working with people with mental disabilities and set the limits in professional work.
