Preliminary Knowledge: | Fundamentals of management, psychology. | ||||||||
Objective: | To improve the understanding of human resource management policies, functions and principles of sustainable business activities in the context of lifelong learning, to stimulate students for systematic improvement of knowledge and skills in personnel management. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Mandatory and additional literature studies, preparation for classes and final exam, independent work in regular tests to develop skills to study personnel management and socio-economic aspects in a particular company, interpret research results and present them, improving the ability to inform, explain and argue about results. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | • Active participation in sessions; individual written assignments in time and meeting the quality criteria, quality of oral presentations (proportion of the overall assessment – 10%). • Study tasks (2): o Group work "In-depth exploration of one aspect of personnel management theory and practical study": paper and its presentation. Proportion of the overall assessment – 30%; o Individual work "Practical exploration of socionic in working group": the presentation. Proportion of the overall assessment – 20%. A written exam on theoretical content of the course at the end – 40%. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Students describe the role of human resource management to achieve the goals of the organisation, gain an understanding of the organisation as a social system and the most outstanding personnel management and explain use of socionics as an opportunity in personnel management. | ||||||||
Skills: | Students are able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge for development of personnel policy; to evaluate the organisation of personnel management; to determine the types of persons and level of compliance with requirements for specific functions; formulate and analytically describe the information, problems and solutions in personnel management; work in partnership with others to plan and organise work in order to carry out certain tasks; take responsibility and initiative in carrying out work individually or in a team; structure own learning. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Students understand the relations within organisation; access, select and analyse information on personnel management independently; identify development opportunities for staff management in organisation. | ||||||||
