Dermatology and Venerology Academic Society

The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Dermatology and Venerology Academic Society (DVAS) welcomes all interested students to explore the field of dermatology and venerology.

The purpose of DVAS is to introduce and increase students' interest in dermatology. It is a crucial specialty in the medical field. Dermatologists are trained to treat and diagnose more than 3,000 conditions in skin, hair, and nails. Dermatology is also a medical-surgical specialty. Besides this, dermatology is highly connected with other specialties and is, therefore, essential for diagnosing certain diseases that may have specific cutaneous manifestations.
