How do I login to my RSU E-mail?

We recommend that you use latest versions of browser you use in order to use of RSU Webmail.

Access RSU Webmail

  • Open http://webmail.rsu.lv in your internet browser
  • In Domain\user name: enter your six-symbol employee ID (first three letters of your name and first three letters of your surname)
  • For the first time, enter the first password that you have assigned. If you have previously logged in, enter the password that you have previously created.
  • Click Log On. If this is the first time you have logged in the system, it will require you to change your password.

  • In the field Old Password, enter your current password that was granted to you by the IT Service Center.

  • In the field New Password, enter your new password.

Principles for creating a password:

  • the new password must not contain the user's first name, surname or user name.
  • the new password must be between 9 and 16 symbols long and contain at least four types of sign:
  • capital letters

  • In the fieldConfirm new password: enter your created password again.
  • If the password you entered is too short or insufficiently complicated, the system will give the following error message: “The password supplied does not meet the minimum complexity requirements. Please try again." In this case, you should try to change your password again.
  • If you change your password successfully, you will see the following message: "Your password was changed. You should be redirected automatically to the previous URL. If you are nod redirected, click Continue." The system will automatically redirect you to your RSU Webmail link. If this is not the case, click Continue.

  • For the first time, the system will prompt you to choose your language and time zone settings. Select the settings you want and click OK. You will see RSU Webmail after logging in.

How to connect to RSU Wi-Fi?

 

  • To connect to RSU eduroam, you need to obtain RSU login.
  • Instructions:
  • Potential problems why you might not be able to connect
    • A static IP/DNS address has been set up for your computer
    • Computer contains dangerous computer viruses
    • Your computer doesn't have an antivirus program installed, or its virus database hasn't been updated
    • P2P File Exchange program turned on (uTorrent, DC + +, BitConnect, etc.)

Set up compatibility for MS Internet Explorer

To prevent that the MS Outlook Web App E-mail service is running only in Light mode, you must make changes to the Compatibility View settings of the Internet browser.

  • If the menu bar is not found in the top of the Internet browser, click Alt on the keyboard to display the menu bar
  • From the toolbar, select Tools
  • Select Compatibility View setting
  • In the field Add this website, enter rsu.lv
  • Click Add
  • Click Close
  • Close the Internet browser and re-launch

The Outlook Web App E-mail service will run in the default view mode.

How to change or renew my password?

To change your password, go to any of the RSU systems, right under the fields you have to type your username or email and password there is information how to change password for students and emoployees. Press “Click here to obtain or change your password”. To read more, click here.
