Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Theoretical course of the master's program "Clinical Pharmacy" has been acquired. Pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, practical pharmacy and pharmaceutical legislation, social pharmacy and pharmaceutical care.
Objective:
To strengthen students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired in various study courses of the master's program "Clinical Pharmacy".
Assessment
Unaided Work:
Each week of the placement the student must perform an analysis of one clinical case, including patient information, treatment regimen used, clinical trial data for the case, drug treatment proposals referring to the principles of evidence-based medicine, treatment course cost analysis (both initial and recommended adjustments). The choice of the patient to be analyzed should be agreed with the placement supervisor. Each student independently performs case analysis, group work is not allowed. During the placement students get acquainted with the diagnoses, examination data, treatment schemes of the patients selected by the placement supervisor (2-4 patients per week). Indicating the number of examined patients and diagnoses in the placement diary.
Assessment Criteria:
Reports in the placement diary for the cycle are signed by the student and the placement supervisor. The placement supervisor records the evaluation of the student's practice in a 10-point system in the diary.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:The student will understand the circulation of inpatient medicines and documentation.
Skills:The student will be able to analyze and evaluate medical treatment for dermatological and wound patient. Together with a doctor will be able to set up a treatment scheme and monitor its implementation.
Competencies:The student will evaluate and analyze the compliance of treatment schemes with international recommendations and available financial resources.
