Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Computer science at secondary school level.
Objective:
The course aims to provide students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge of modern informatics and its essence, to organize group works efficiently and remotely, advantages of various information systems (software and hardware), including the Internet, as well as to introduce graphical and classical programming. To develop an efficient organization of individual work and teamwork among students, to optimize students’ work with information and various modern information systems.

Unaided Work:
A presentation must be prepared and given on one of the selected core topics of the course.
Assessment Criteria:
Active participation in practical classes, successful passing of two or three tests. (Teamwork / Software / (+) / Hardware).

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:By completing the study course, the student will be able to orientate himself in: Modern informatics elements and their essence, in effective organization of group work simultaneously and remotely, in various information systems (software and hardware), including the advantages of the Internet of Things, as well as familiar with graphic and classical programming.
Skills:After completing the study course students will be able: to select the optimal amount of information needed for the studies and the healthcare research; to design study papers using different types of fields – table of contents, references, signatures; to renew the fields in study work; to obtain the data via a questionnaire using appropriate forms and the Internet; to prepare the data for processing in MS Excel; to select data by various criteria; to perform calculations with numerical and categorical data.
Competencies:After completing the study course students will be able to select the information needed for their studies, design study papers, obtain and prepare data.
