Preliminary Knowledge:
Theoretical course of the master's program "Clinical Pharmacy" has been acquired. Pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, practical pharmacy and pharmaceutical legislation, social pharmacy and pharmaceutical care.
Objective:
To strengthen students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired in various study cycles of the master's program "Clinical Pharmacy".

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Each week of the internship, the student must perform an analysis of one clinical case, including patient information, treatment regimen used, clinical trial data, evidence-based medical treatment suggestions, and course cost analysis (for both initial and recommended adjustments). The choice of the patient to be analyzed should be agreed with the supervisor. Each student constantly conducts a case study, group work is not allowed. During the internship, students get acquainted with the diagnoses, examination data, treatment schemes of the patients selected by the internship supervisor (2 - 4 patients per week). Indicating the number of diagnosed patients and diagnoses in the practice diary.
Assessment Criteria:
Atskaites prakses dienasgrāmatā par ciklu paraksta students un prakses vadītājs. Prakses vadītājs dienasgrāmatā fiksē studenta prakses vērtējumu 10 ballu sistēmā.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:The student will understand the circulation of inpatient medication and documentation.
Skills:The student will be able to analyze and evaluate medical treatment for a neurological, psychiatric or narcotic patient. It will be possible to set up a treatment scheme with your doctor and monitor its implementation.
Competencies:The student will evaluate and analyze the compliance of treatment schemes with international recommendations and available financial resources.
