Objective:
Raise awareness of the contemporary issues of the environmental law and environment protection and possibilities of solving them. Tasks: - understand the huge human impact on the processes of the nature and the need to change the attitude of the past, including on the environmental protection; - be aware of the importance of everyone to actively participate in environment protection activities without waiting for someone else to do so.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Group projects, case studies, discussions and preparation of a public speech.
Assessment Criteria:
A student who has attended less than half of the lectures and has not passed the practical work of the examination may not be allowed to take a test. The final assessment for the course consists of a mark for the examination, the main criterion of which is the amount and quality of the acquired knowledge.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:On completion of the study course, students will have knowledge of environmental policy tools and environmental protection principles, human rights to the content and subject of a favourable environment, aspects of environmental protection and spatial planning, assessment of the impact on the environment and its applications.
Skills:Students acquire skills in environmental legislation through regular practical work, and apply the laws and regulations to particular situations and interpret them. Understand the principles of environmental law and interrelationship in their application.
Competencies:Able to formulate, describe and analyse practical problems in the field of environmental protection.
