Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Human physiology and anatomy, internal diseases, the contents of section A of the study program "Radiology I" have been successfully studied.
Objective:
Using the METC (Medical Education Technology Center) simulator ULTRASIM, to equip students with practical and theoretical skills in visualizing the most common abdominal and thyroid abnormalities.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Independent acquisition of the methodological material of the USG bases and clinical cases in the e-learning environment. Get acquainted with patient's clinical data, laboratory findings and anamnesis. Advanced USG visualization of the investigated organ with image interpretation, annotation.
Assessment Criteria:
The acquisition of the course will be evaluated in accordance with the OSCE standards: participation in the visualization of abdominal and thyroid gland clinical events in the USG, discussions and clinical case studies. Attendance of the classes is obligatory.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:As a result of the study course acquisition, students acquire additional knowledge of the most common abdominal and thyroid gland pathology in the USG visualization.
Skills:Practical skills in working with the USG. Usage of different detectors by the USG. USG Anatomy. USG diagnostic of pathological changes.
Competencies:The student is able to apply knowledge and abdominal and thyroid gland USG.
