Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and histology, pathology.
Objective:
Students should acquire knowledge of the pharmacological groups and preparations of the medicinal product, assess the efficacy and safety of the medicinal product, know what information should be provided on the medicinal product for the patient's safe use.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Individual work – the acquisition of general and clinical pharmacology, as well as the selection and analysis of information on medicinal products, their use and use in the medical process.
Assessment Criteria:
Regular short tests during practice. Final test – exam.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:As a result of learning the course, students acquire basic knowledge and competence in the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of medicinal products, will know the drug groups and the use of medicinal products for the prevention and treatment of diseases. Students will be able to formulate mechanisms, indications and side effects for drug substances.
Skills:As a result of studying the course, students will be able to make choice of medicines, based on their effectiveness and safety assessment, and will acquire skills in obtaining information on medicines.
Competencies:As a result of studying the course, students will be able to provide information to the patient about the medicine.
