Objective:
The aim of the course is to acquire students use German for their social interactions in compliance with “Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning, Teaching and Assessment” language proficiency levels A1/A2.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Actively acquires the necessary lexicology, makes short dialogues on the corresponding topic, actively participates in preparation of homework, timely hands in short descriptions on family, flat, daily activities, leisure time, etc. During the course makes 1-2 presentations.
Assessment Criteria:
1. Active participation in the practical classes, qualitatively and in time done assignments, quality of answers during the classes. 2. Test at the end of the module – which can include reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. 3. Accumulative evaluation at the end of the 3rd semester, taking into consideration the results of tests and the attitude during the semester. 4. Examination at the end of the course, where the reading, listening, writing, usage of language structures and speaking skills are checked.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:After the successful completion of the course the students: Will understand ordinary German vocabulary, language structures and regularities for ordinary texts. Will be able to find out the necessary information. Will recognize and be able to differentiate whether the statement or the text is related to the present or past activities. Will recognize the right order of the words in the narrative sentence and in the interrogative sentence.
Skills:The students will be able to understand ordinary texts about common topics (letters, invitations, classified ads, weather broadcasts and other authentic materials), ordinary audio texts about common topics (dialogues, announcements in the airport or in the train terminal about the moving of the traffic, classified ads, weather broadcasts and other authentic material), make short announcements, e-mails, write simple information, and fill in the forms, shortly tell about themselves, their relatives, living conditions, surroundings, respond to the questions, make questions, using the common language structures, retell text, expressing their opinion, making simple sentences, comprehend and be able to use the grammar structures needed in the daily communication.
Competencies:After the successful completion of the course, the students will be able to use in practice the lexical expressions and the language structures they have learned in the everyday communication.
