Preliminary Knowledge: | Human anatomy, physiology, pathological physiology, classical massage. | ||||||||
Objective: | To acquire knowledge and develop understanding of the practical application of appropriate medical devices in massage procedures. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | The student’s independently prepared presentation on the use of a massage with medical devices in a masseur’s practice. Preparation for examinations according to the content of the study course; preparation for the final examination of the study course; individual and group work; work with study materials, study literature (research, analysis). | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Attendance of lectures and practical classes. Compliance of the student’s independently prepared presentation on the use of a massage with medical devices in a masseur’s practice with the set criteria. Drawing up the results of practical works; performance of specific tasks. Planning and implementing a medical device massage treatment (including filling in the customer’s diagnostic chart) according to protocol. | ||||||||

Knowledge: | As a result of completing the study course, students will know the medical devices used in massage, their effects on tissues, possibilities of use, indications and contraindications. | ||||||||
Skills: | Students will be able to apply medical devices used in massage therapy and assess their compatibility with massage techniques. To equip a massage salon and use the substances used in the medical device massage, according to the chosen type of massage. | ||||||||
Competencies: | The student will be able to use the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in professional activities. | ||||||||
