Preliminary Knowledge:
Basics of general ethics.
Objective:
The aim of the Course is to promote the acquisition of knowledge of ethics as a humanitarian science, paying particular attention to analysis of a wide variety of aspects of professional conduct; to raise awareness and the ability to deal with complex ethical (moral) dilemmas; develop and build students' confidence and security of their abilities to deal with ethical and legal issues; to help students to develop their personality that would help int their further work to provide their peers, co-workers, customers and the public with a true and beautiful example of ethical behaviour and action. The aim of course is to ensure that students not only learn the theory of professional ethics versatility, but also get a good and stable practical knowledge.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Perform the selection, research and analysis of scientific literature and other sources according to the subject. To carry out an in-depth study of the subject thought by applying and using it in a practical work. As a practical work assignment to write a paper with a volume of 4-6 pages on some of the aspects from professional ethics (free choice) or following instructions from the lecturer.
Assessment Criteria:
Course final grade is made up from: active participation in lectures and seminars (20%); positive evaluation of the practical work-paper (30%) and successfully passed written final examination (50%). The final grade will be assessed in the 10-point evaluation scale.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Describe ethical development directions, principles and categories; formulate ethical and moral principles of interdependence and the importance of society; explain the principles of ethics, values and norms application in public administration; identify and define the potential risks of corruption in the field of professional ethics; identify key principles and forms of health care and patients' rights aspects; clearly set out and justify ethical values, principles and norms of the provision and promotion of professional work.
Skills:Discover, see and analyze a variety of ethical and moral issues in their professional work and in the community; to address the ethical aspects of the problems, dilemmas and their causes; to take the necessary steps to combat possible irregularities and unethical behavior; act certainly and professionally in the corruption risk situations, as well as to demonstrate their personal ethical and moral high standards in practice.
Competencies:The acquired knowledge will help students to demonstrate and certify their professional and ethical behavior. With their personal example students will develop and strengthen institutions' competence, professionalism and reputation. The acquired knowledge will promote a good governance, which will manifest in a mutual respect with colleagues, the society and potential customers.
