Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Study courses in the programme from the 1st to the 5th semester.
Objective:
During clinical placement, theoretical knowledge and practical skills are improved and strengthened, patient care and related clinical procedures are integrated, in accordance with the standard of the nursing profession, the principles of professional ethics and the knowledge acquired in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of studies in various contexts of the placement – health promotion services in the municipality, social and professional rehabilitation services in the institution for patients/clients of different ages (children, adults, elderly), medical care at home.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
To comply with the work hours intended for the placement and work the full duration, to fill in the documentation provided for the placement, mutual suggestions on the qualitative and organisational content of the placement.
Assessment Criteria:
Submission of the placement report Placement V, defence of placement. Development of a care plan (2) (according to the student’s choice in one of the placement parts) and development and defence of the client's social care plan (the care plans must be drawn up and are assessed according to the methodological guidelines for the Care Plan and Client Social Care Plan of the RSU Department of Nursing and Obstetric Care). The evaluation criteria are published in e-studies.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Will acquire basic knowledge in anaesthesia, intensive and emergency care, outpatient care, infectious diseases and patient care, geriatric and palliative patient care, psychiatric patient care, mental patient care and social patient care and social rehabilitation.
Skills:Improved theoretical and practical skills, which are necessary for planning and carrying out care both in the clinic and in other health care institutions, respecting the specifics of transcultural care. To independently develop a care plan for a specific patient and ensure care according to the set priorities.
Competencies:Ability to apply and evaluate appropriate clinical procedures and other care activities in primary, secondary and tertiary patient care.
