Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
The study course “Basics of Radiology” completed in the 3rd year of study.
Objective:
The aim of this elective course is to extend students’ knowledge and practical skills in mastering ultrasound techniques and the basics of abdominal ultrasound scan, develop the ability to find and recognise anatomical structures and organs, as well as to know most common pathologies in presentation pictures.

Students must be prepared for each practical class by studying the materials that have been sent to them.

The last lesson will include a practical test, in which students will have to demonstrate the practical skills acquired during the course.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:The extended knowledge of the abdominal ultrasound techniques will help students to find and recognise anatomical structures and organs and the most common abdominal pathologies.

Competencies:Students will be able to teach other interested students regarding the use of abdominal ultrasound techniques.
