Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Prior knowledge in anatomy, physiology, orthotics with soft and hard orthoses, prosthetics of upper and lower limbs, clinical rehabilitation is required.
Objective:
To teach students to independently perform examination and assessment of the patient for illnesses related to the use of technical aids, to choose the appropriate and necessary aid for the patient, to make it, to train the patient in its use. To strengthen the practical and theoretical skills learned by the student in previous years, their application in practice, training in its use.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Prepare previously investigated patient case studies, to prepare a work plan for technical aids manufactoring to realize it during the placement.
Assessment Criteria:
Ability of the students to put into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired previously.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:After successful completion of the study course, students will gain in-depth knowledge of orthotics and prosthetics, to be able to identify the patient's problem from point of view of the technical orthopedics, as well as the formulation of selection of the technical aids. To formulate manufacturing and customization stages.
Skills:During the study course, students have acquired sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge of orthotics and prosthetics, to be able to take the examination of a patient and the interpret the results of the investigation, to be able to point appropriate choices for the patient.
Competencies:The student has the competence to base their choice on the existing knowledge, to explain the stages of manufacture, make particular stage of manufacturing, to make the product customization and explain the use of the product.
