Preliminary Knowledge:
Introduction to specialty, knowledge of materials.
Objective:
To give an idea about technologies, instruments, equipment and working machines used in technical orthopedics with aim to get processed materials.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students will be able to name methods used to process materials in technical orthopedics, explain processing stages and used instruments and equipment, define safety elements.
Skills:Students will be able to demonstrate skills in gypsum casting and processing technologies, to choose and prepare appropriate plastic material for forming and to explain plastic material forming stages, as well as to demonstrate skills in metal drilling, bending and riveting, and other processing types.
Competencies:• use various tools to process materials; • power tools usage and safety; • material characteristics.
